Scooters And One Wheels

Bounce electrical scooter will quickly be launched in India competing with Ola, the value might begin under Rs 50,000

Indian electric two-wheeler brand Bounce will launch its first electric scooter in India called the Bounce Infinity. Pre-orders for the upcoming e-scooter will start from the first week of December, deliveries are scheduled to start from January 2022. According to a statement from the company (via), the Bounce Infinity electric scooter will be delivered with “improved state-of-the-art equipment and intelligent functions”. Bounce also plans to offer a very unique scooter that will stand out from its competitors like the Ola Electric Scooters.

One of the functions of Bounce Infinity is a removable lithium-ion battery that customers can take out and charge as they please at home or at any other location. Bounce also offers the “battery as a service” option, which means that customers can buy the Bounce Infinity electric scooter at an affordable price even without a battery. The interested party can then use Bounce’s battery exchange network instead. Customers must pay to swap batteries when they swap an empty battery for a fully charged one through the exchange network provided by Bounce.

With batteries accounting for almost 40-50 percent of the cost of an electric scooter, Bounce has set itself the goal of lowering its customers’ operating costs with a battery swap network that improves both the longevity of its scooters and their carpooling business.

Bounce Electric Scooter Price In India (Expected)

The electric scooter is said to be available for under 50,000 rupees for the replaceable battery option and around 70,000 rupees for a regular battery model, which can also be removed and charged anywhere at the discretion of the user. The S1 e-scooter from Ola, on the other hand, costs 99,999 rupees, while the S1 Pro costs 1,29,999 rupees (both from the showroom). This makes it quite cheap compared to its Ola counterparts.

Bounce also announced that it has a 100 percent stake in 22Motors. The deal is valued at approximately $ 7 million in 2021. As part of this deal, Bounce acquired its manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, along with the intellectual property of 22Motor. The plant in Bhiwandi has an annual production capacity of around 1.80,000 units.
