Powertrain & Transmission

Speaking of the powertrain, it is getting an updated, liquid-cooled 155 cc DOHC single-cylinder engine with variable valve actuation (VVA). This is the same engine that powers the R15 V3 in India. On board the scooter, this unit now turns up 15.4 hp at 8,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm at 6,500 rpm compared to its predecessor, which delivered 14.8 hp and 14.4 Nm peak torque. Equipped with electronic fuel injection (EFI), it uses a traditional V-belt CVT to perform transmission tasks.

price

The new Yamaha Aerox 155 is offered in two variants – standard and ABS at a starting price of 67,500 THB (equivalent to 1.64 lakh INR). Most likely, this scooter will only reach our coast if the Japanese brand decides against its rivals Honda and Aprilia.
