Detective Constable Kasie Carter of the Armed Forces Serious Collision Investigation Unit said, “I want to speak to anyone who has information about this collision but has not yet contacted us.

“I’m particularly interested in speaking to drivers who were in the area at the time and who have a dashcam in their vehicle.”

She added, “I’m also interested in speaking to anyone who saw either the truck or the person in the mobility scooter prior to the collision. Any information you have could help.”

The intersection was closed for more than seven hours during the rescue and recovery operation, causing widespread disruption and congestion in the city.
