Philadelphia police establish an 11-year-old little one shot lifeless whereas driving a scooter on the Oxford Circle Double Capturing – CBS Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police released the name of the 11-year-old child who was shot dead in Oxford Circle on Friday night. Harley Belance was a fifth grader at Gilbert Spruance Elementary School.

Police say Harley was riding a scooter with a 14-year-old friend on the 1500 block of McKinley Street Friday night when he was shot in the neck and killed.

Investigators are still looking for the suspect, who they say shot at the children from the sidewalk around 7 p.m. on Friday and then blasted them away.

The 14-year-old’s name has not yet been released. He was shot several times and is in stable condition.

“At some point, for some unknown reason, someone came out on foot and shot the two boys as they were riding that pedal up and down the street. We’re doing what we can to interview witnesses, get descriptions, and find out the motive, ”said Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw.

The twelve-year-old Santiago Quintero heard it.

“My grandpa showered and I heard the gunshots and he came down and I asked ‘was that, fireworks?’ And he said, “I don’t know,” said Santiago.

He says the shooting made him nervous.

“Scared. I used to ride a bike, but when I moved here I just stopped cycling,” said Santiago.

No arrests were made.
