Kymco launches up to date Individuals 200i ABS commuter scooter

Kymco, a Taiwanese motorcycle manufacturer, has become popular all over the world thanks to its impressive two-wheelers, especially its scooters, which offer commendable performance at a very tempting price. The company offers scooters in all shapes and sizes. From small-displacement, retro-style models like the Like 125 to maxi scooters that eat up the highway like the Xciting 400, Kymco’s range of scooters is wide and huge to say the least.

To make its range of commuter scooters even better, the Taiwanese company recently updated its People scooter series, which consists of the Classic 50, 125i ABS and the latest addition, the 200i ABS, which replaces the previous 150cc model. Kymco has thoroughly refreshed the People line of scooters by giving them all some styling updates that lift the overall aesthetic of the scooter and bring it up to date with its modern day counterparts. The Kymco People 200i ABS gets a redesigned LED headlight and a high-quality black leather saddle.

The new Kymco People 200i ABS gets a brand new engine. The new engine, displacing 163 cubes, is an air cooler unit that offers maximum efficiency and performance for use in and around the city. Thanks to electronic fuel injection, the scooter meets the Euro5 emissions standard and also produces decent performance. It delivers 14.7 hp and 13.5 Nm of torque, just the right amount of power to make it a brisk little commuter. The People 200i has a claimed top speed of 105 kilometers per hour, or 65 mph, and claims to return an impressive 37 kilometers per liter, or 87 miles per gallon.

In terms of features, the People 200i ABS has everything a decent daily commuter needs. As a suspension setup, it has standard telescopic forks and two spring struts with adjustable spring preload. In addition, two-channel ABS disc brakes at the front and rear are standard for additional safety in all road conditions. To make things even better, Kymco includes a top case, which serves as practical additional storage space on the already generous storage space under the seat, which is large enough to hold a helmet. In terms of price and availability, Kymco has estimated the People 200i ABS at 3,340 euros or the equivalent of 3,962 US dollars.
