The leaks showed the Pixel 11a will include high-end display, modem, and security components, positioning it as a near-flagship mid-range device with some cost-saving adjustments.

The Pixel 11a will be powered by Google’s Tensor G6 system-on-chip, the same flagship-grade processor expected to appear in the Pixel 11 series, according to multiple leaks reviewed by Android Authority and other outlets. The chip, internally codenamed “Malibu,” is built on a 2-nanometer architecture, promising efficiency improvements over prior Tensor generations, which may help offset the Pixel 11a’s slightly smaller battery compared to full flagship models. Documents obtained by Mystic Leaks and cited by several sources indicate Google plans to use “binned” versions of the Tensor G6 chip in the Pixel 11a, a cost-saving measure that slightly reduces GPU performance while maintaining strong CPU and AI capabilities.

The display will support an adaptive refresh rate from 60 to 120 hertz, aligning the Pixel 11a with current flagship standards.

The Pixel 11a is also reportedly equipped with a PowerVR C-Series CXTP-48-1536 GPU, a design dating back to around 2021, which suggests Google is balancing performance and cost. The device will use a MediaTek M90 modem, replacing the Samsung Exynos-based modems found in previous Tensor-powered Pixels.
