Dell XPS 14 (2026) unveiled with Intel Lunar Lake CPU, 32GB RAM option for $1,699, shipping May 2026

Dell unveiled its XPS 14 laptop featuring Intel’s Lunar Lake-based Core Ultra Series 3 processors and up to 32GB of LPDDR5x memory, with prices starting at $1,699 and shipments beginning in May 2026. According to company officials, the new model offers up to 57% faster AI performance and improved graphics powered by Intel Arc B390, designed to enhance multitasking and gaming experiences.

The Dell XPS 14 (2026) is powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra Series 3 processors, including the flagship Core Ultra X7 358H model, which features 16 cores and 16 threads. This processor combines four 4.8 GHz Cougar Cove performance cores with 12 efficiency cores based on Intel’s Panther Lake architecture, according to Intel’s technical specifications. The base model uses the Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processor, which offers eight cores running up to 4.7 GHz with a 12MB cache, Dell officials said.

Benchmark scores from 3DMark Steel Nomad show the Core Ultra X7 358H with Arc B390 achieves a score of 1,446, significantly outperforming the lower-end Intel Graphics configuration that features four Xe cores and scores 532, according to independent testing data.

Intel’s Panther Lake architecture, which underpins the X7 358H, delivers a 50% performance boost over the previous Lunar Lake generation, with the top-end Core Ultra X9 388H reaching up to 5.1 GHz, Intel testing shows. The new CPU lineup also provides up to 57% faster artificial intelligence (AI) processing performance, according to Dell’s product briefing. This is aided by integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics, which feature 12 Xe cores and offer over 50% faster graphics performance compared to prior XPS models, sources confirmed.

Graphics performance is a key focus for the XPS 14 (2026). The higher-end configurations come equipped with the Intel Arc B390 integrated GPU, delivering smooth gameplay and faster video editing capabilities.

Memory and storage options have been expanded to support demanding workloads. The base configuration includes 16GB of LPDDR5x memory running at 7,467 MT/s, while premium models offer up to 32GB of LPDDR5x-9600 memory paired with a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 solid-state drive. Entry-level storage starts at 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD, Dell officials confirmed. The faster memory and storage options are designed to enhance multitasking and responsiveness under Windows 11.

The 14-inch InfinityEdge display is available in several configurations. The base model features a 2,560-by-1,600 non-touch panel with 500 nits of brightness and a refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120 Hz. Premium variants offer a 2,880-by-1,800 OLED touchscreen with 20 to 120 Hz refresh rate, covering full sRGB, DCI-P3, and near-full Adobe RGB color gamuts, Dell’s product literature states. This OLED option supports smoother visuals and is optimized for AI-enhanced PC experiences via Microsoft’s Copilot+ integration.

Pricing for the XPS 14 (2026) begins at $1,599 for the base model with the Core Ultra 7 355 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD. A configuration priced at $1,699.99 includes the same processor and memory but with the 14-inch 2K non-touch display. The premium 2,199.99 model features the Core Ultra X7 358H, 32GB of RAM, 1TB SSD, and the 2.8K OLED touchscreen. Dell’s review unit, priced at $2,199, includes the high-end specs, company sources confirmed.

The laptop is equipped with a 70-watt-hour battery and charges via a 100-watt USB-C power adapter. Dell engineers highlighted that the Panther Lake processors, fabricated on an 18-ampere (2-nanometer equivalent) process, offer 15% better performance per watt compared to the prior Lunar Lake 3-nanometer chips. The system runs approximately 5 degrees Celsius cooler than the previous generation due to advanced cooling solutions, enabling longer battery life for mobile use.

Design-wise, the XPS 14 (2026) measures 12.19 inches by 8.26 inches by 0.58 inches for the premium model and features three USB4/Thunderbolt 4 ports, a Kensington lock slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The laptop is positioned as a lightweight ultraportable with Windows 11 Home preinstalled, though Dell recommends Windows 11 Pro for business users. The device also supports USB-C Power Delivery across all three USB4 ports, according to Dell’s technical specifications.

The XPS 14 (2026) marks the return of the XPS branding as Dell’s premium Windows ultraportable line, following the recent release of the XPS 16 sibling, which offers up to 78% faster AI performance. Dell’s announcement situates the XPS 14 within the evolving landscape of Intel’s Core Ultra processors and integrated graphics, aiming to meet the needs of professionals and gamers alike. Shipments are scheduled to begin in May 2026, Dell confirmed.
