New Integration Aims to Enhance Public Safety Response Capabilities
Aerodome and Flock Safety have announced a strategic partnership to integrate Aerodome’s next-generation Drone-As-First-Responder (DFR) technology with Flock Safety’s crime-solving platform. This collaboration aims to enhance public safety by deploying drones to emergency situations and sensor alerts, thereby decreasing response times and improving the safety of officers and communities.
How it Works: When a Flock sensor detects a vehicle associated with an AMBER alert or hears gunshots, public safety agencies can dispatch an Aerodome drone to the location, providing real-time aerial footage and arriving at the scene in 85 seconds (compared to the typical 7+ minutes). This significantly decreases response times and improves officer and community safety.

The integration between Aerodome and Flock Safety will allow for rapid drone deployment in response to incidents detected by Flock Safety’s Falcon® license plate recognition (LPR) or Raven® audio detection sensors. This means that public safety agencies can dispatch drones to incident locations within seconds, providing crucial aerial support to first responders.
Scottsdale, Arizona, will be the first city to implement this new technology. Scottsdale Police Chief Jeff Walther commented on the integration, stating, “With our cutting-edge Real-Time Crime Center, we have seen immense success in bringing innovative technologies to bear in addressing emergency situations, routine calls for service, assisting in complex investigations, and ensuring citizen and officer safety. By layering in a drone-as-a-first-responder (DFR) program, we add another way to empower first responders to protect lives, keep Scottsdale safe, reduce response times, and drive down crime.”
In just one year since its founding, Aerodome has nearly doubled its growth projections for 2024. This partnership with Flock Safety enables police departments nationwide to seamlessly integrate leading public safety technologies.
