When OnePlus unveiled its latest flagship rocking Hasselblad brand cameras to the world, the company revealed two storage configurations. So far, however, only the more expensive storage version with 12 GB + 256 GB of the OnePlus 9 Pro was available in the USA, which evaporates more than a thousand dollars from your wallet. The cheaper $ 969 version is nowhere to be seen in authorized retail and carrier partner outlets. Well, it seems that potential buyers will have to wait a little longer for this particular variant with no official information on how long that wait might take.
OnePlus allegedly communicated this to the people at 9to5Google The 8 GB + 128 GB model of the OnePlus 9 Pro will be available “in the future” in North America without an actual date. For now, only the 12GB + 256GB model for $ 1,069 is listed on the OnePlus official website, as well as Best Buy and B&H Photo Video. You may also need to switch from one retailer to another to find the color option you want.
And to further complicate matters for potential buyers is the carrier situation. Of the three big companies, only T-Mobile and Verizon have certified the OnePlus 9 Pro to take advantage of their 5G network. AT&T, on the other hand, has yet to do the same, and it’s unlikely to sell the newest OnePlus flagship in the near future. However, if you don’t want to change your AT&T line and still want to try the OnePlus 9 Pro, you’re limited to 4G LTE. This essentially means paying a 5G tax on a phone that costs over a thousand dollars.
For the device itself, you get a curved 120 Hz AMOLED display that can intelligently change the value of the refresh rate between 1 Hz and 120 Hz depending on the screen content. The Snapdragon 888 SoC ensures that everything runs inside, while the 4,500 mAh battery under the hood supports wired charging of 65 W and wireless charging of an impressive 50 W. The imaging hardware includes a 48-megapixel main snapper, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor.
