Collaboration Aims to Streamline Infrastructure Inspections with Drone Autonomy and AI-Powered Defect Detection
FlytBase, a drone autonomy software provider, has announced a partnership with gNext, an AI-driven photogrammetry platform specializing in asset inspection. This collaboration enables FlytBase users to transfer drone-captured data seamlessly to the gNext platform, improving infrastructure asset management while reducing manual processes.
AI-Assisted Drone Data Collection for Asset Inspections
Managing aging infrastructure has become a significant challenge for asset owners. Traditional inspection methods are often time-consuming, costly, and can pose safety risks to workers. As assets age and manual fault detection becomes increasingly difficult, there is a growing need for more efficient solutions.
With the integration of FlytBase’s platform and gNext’s AI tools, operators can now schedule inspection missions remotely. These missions collect data, which is then exported to the gNext platform for analysis. The gNext platform allows users to select from over 40 predefined asset types and use AI-powered tools like InspectAssist™ to detect and quantify defects in concrete structures. This integration makes inspections safer, more efficient, and scalable, enabling operators to make data-driven decisions.
“Weʼre delighted to be partnered with FlytBase to deliver more seamless workflows to our customers. With FlytBaseʼs autonomous drone operations, customers can easily upload their data into gNext for automatic processing for an end-to-end workflow. And with gNextʼs AI-powered defect detection for concrete structures, asset inspections are even more efficient than before,” said Russ Ellis, President of gNext.
Enhancing Remote Inspections with Automation and Safety
The collaboration also enhances the use of docked drones for inspection missions. FlytBase offers automation features that are critical for reliable drone operations, such as fleet management, BVLOS hardware integration, and safety systems like parachutes and weather monitoring. These features allow for safe, remote, and autonomous inspections, further reducing the need for on-site personnel.
FlytBase and gNext prioritize data security, adhering to ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, and GDPR standards. This ensures top-tier data protection while offering flexible deployment options to meet enterprise privacy needs.
“We are excited to partner with gNext to redefine infrastructure inspections. This collaboration combines FlytBase’s cutting-edge drone autonomy with gNext’s advanced AI-powered analysis, empowering users to achieve unparalleled accuracy and efficiency in asset management. Together, we are setting a new standard for the future of inspection automation,” said Nitin Gupta, CEO & Founder of FlytBase.
