Zapp i300 E-Scooter celebrates its European debut
The British start-up Zapp has presented its i300 scooter in Europe. However, a debut in India seems unlikely.
As for the highlights, the two-wheeler has a futuristic look and is available with full LED lighting and a digital dashboard. It gets its power from an electric drive train and promises a range of 60 km on a single charge.
Here are more details.
The scooter has a carbon fiber storage compartment
Sitting on a Z-shaped aluminum frame, the Zapp i300 has a headlamp front apron, tiny windshield, flat running board, flat seat with a modular carbon fiber underseat storage compartment, and a rear tire-hugger mounted license plate.
The scooter has a digital instrument console with GPS, full LED lighting and rides on blackened wheels. It weighs 92 kg.
It reaches a top speed of 96 km / h
The Zapp i300 is equipped with an electric motor and two removable 1.4 kWh lithium-ion batteries. The setup delivers a combined power of 24.13 hp / 85 Nm. The scooter can sprint from 0-50 km / h in 2.35 seconds, reach a top speed of 96 km / h and deliver a range of around 60 km.
It gets an inverted front fork
To ensure the safety of the driver, the Zapp i300 is equipped with disc brakes on the front and rear wheels as well as several driving modes and wheelie control for better handling on the road.
Suspension tasks on electric scooters are performed by inverted forks at the front and a mono-shock unit at the rear.
Zapp i300: prices and availability
In Europe, the Zapp i300 has a starting price of € 6,300 (approx. 5.5 lakh). However, the scooter will not arrive in India as the brand is not present here and cannot adequately price it.
