It’s electric, it’s “smart”, and it’s 100% Greek too.
The first “smart” electric scooter made in Greece is scheduled to hit the streets in summer 2021.
By then, its creators will have found its name. “We just noticed that back then. Our company is called Give, the project is called i.lektra, but we are still in the search phase for the scooter itself, ”said Ilias Nasiopouloss, co-founder of GIVE.
The company was founded by Ilias Nasiopoulos, Lefteris Kozas, Asteris Apostolidis and Sevastianos Mail when Nasiopoulos returned from England four years ago after eight years as a senior mechanic on Force India’s Formula 1 team at Prodrive and Nissan Research and Development had a center in Europe to devote himself to his vision.
Nasiopoulos told ANA: “Give was launched with electromobility as a vision and goal of innovation in urban mobility. However, we started out with third party services to generate capital that we can then invest in our own vision. “
The idea for a scooter dates back to the company’s founding, along with more ambitious plans for vehicle production, and design began in 2017.
And now? “We have now finished the prototypes, are testing them in Demokritos Park and the goal now is to start the certification process and then go to the assembly line. It is a difficult period financially, but we are optimistic, ”said Nasiopoulos.
The Greek electric scooter is an eco-friendly electric motorcycle with a top speed of 85 km / h and a range of 180 km on one charge provided by three removable batteries.
It will also have an 8 inch digital screen dashboard and navigator.
Don’t forget to wear a helmet while driving!
