Stolen electrical bicycle/scooter alert – Monday, October 17

A number of unregistered electric bicycles and scooters have recently been stolen in the Ipswich District with the following being recently reported:

Anyone who may have seen the vehicles listed above, or who has any other information which could assist police in locating them, is urged to contact police.

Electric bicycle and scooter owners should ensure their vehicle is always secured by locking them with a sturdy chain and padlock or other type of lock and secure to an immovable object such as a pole concreted in the ground.

Police are urging residents to secure their homes, vehicles and all equipment to avoid opportunistic thefts.

Lock and secure your garage at all times as vehicles, electrical equipment, trailers and ride-on mowers can be stolen even while you are still at home.

Remember, no matter where you are, lock your vehicle, and don’t gift your keys to thieves.
