Scott Brown stepped down from Parkhead course for the last time as a Celtic player.
And given the incredible haul of trophies he’s leaving with, the club will surely forgive him for an unlucky full-time gaffe.
The skipper led his team to a 4-0 Premier League win over St. Johnstone and was hired by the club’s media team for an on-the-whistle interview.
But the captain, who picked Celtic Park’s Tannoy playlist for the occasion, was surprised when he was in front of the camera.
The live feed switched to Brown, but neither he nor the interviewer knew they were on the air.
It meant cameras were shooting the 35-year-old requesting a song in his own inimitable style as he quipped, “Just put on scooters, fuck me!”
The hilarious gaffe caused nervous laughs and quick apologies when Brown asked, “This isn’t live?” more in hope than in expectation.
As he prepares to head to Aberdeen this summer, Brown has only one outing in a Celtic jersey.
Perhaps fittingly, it comes against his former club Hibs on Easter Road on Saturday.
