Scooter’s Coffee, which will open its first section in Orange Park, says it is “at the beginning of a strategic growth phase across the country” with nearly 400 stores in 23 states and a commitment to open stores in 30 states.
The goal is to open 1,000 stores by 2024, “and northeast Florida is an integral part of that strategy”.
Scooter’s Coffee, based in Omaha, Nebraska, has signed more than 300 contracts with more than 1,000 commitments since 2020, including many in Florida.
“The US coffee market is a recession-resistant industry with estimated sales of $ 48 billion a year, and with a proven 674-foot kiosk model, Scooter’s Coffee is aiming to become the # 1 drive-through coffee franchise in the country will.”
Scooter’s Coffee, a franchise company, claims to have 12 locations in northeast Florida under development and expansion.
A franchisee plans to build a 632 square foot double thoroughfare at 151 Park Avenue in Orange Park and open it in the summer of 2022.
It is expected to be the first of up to 16 or more in the market among at least four franchisees, according to Abby Walsh, senior associate of Franklin Street Real Estate Services, who represents Scooter.
She said the four separate franchisees for parts of Clay, Duval, Nassau, and St. Johns counties have 15 to 16 agreements and there is room for more.
