Roborock brings upgrades for the S7 robot vacuum at CES 2021
The new wave of gaming laptops from MSI brings the performance of NVIDIA RTX 30-series graphics
Alienware announces its thinnest laptops ever at CES 2021
HP P34hc is a 34-inch curved monitor for professionals and developers
Yes, CES 2021 is still running and like yesterday we’re putting together all of our favorite single starts from the last few days as the show gets a little quieter as the week progresses. Let’s start with Alienware as they just announced their new laptops, the M15 and M17 R4, which are the company’s thinnest laptops to date. For gaming laptops, of course. They offer a faster, more powerful competitive advantage as they are powered by NVIDIA’s RTX 30 series. They offer other features like an optional 360 Hz panel that should be useful for titles like Cyberpunk or Valorant. MSI has just released 5 new RTX 30 series laptops that bring Intel’s brand new 11th generation Core H series processors to market. I think we know where the 70 computers come from. MSI has some crazy features too, including 300Hz displays, GDDR6 RAM, and more. Roborock just announced their S7 robotic vacuum cleaner, which offers a 5200mAh battery as well as impressive numbers in terms of suction and peeling in the same clean design. After all, HP had a busy year, they launched a couple of laptops a few days ago, and now we’re getting the P34HC, which is a 34-inch monitor aimed at developers. It has an aspect ratio of 21: 9 at WQHD resolution and up to 250 nits. Of course the show is still on, we have a lot more coverage on Pocketnow.com and the links to articles for all of these products in the links in the description.
New leak reveals OPPO Find X3 Pro in all its glory
Now let’s talk about the 2020 successor to my favorite display on a smartphone, the possible OPPO Find X3 Pro. A lot of leaks and rumors have surfaced for this series lately, but now we have probably the biggest leak yet. Evan Blass is back, releasing some high-resolution renders of the Find X3 Pro. We see the phone in 4 different color options including white, black, blue and something that looks like copper. Apparently the camera module takes some cues from the iPhone 12 Pro when it comes to design, although the hump is pretty much Samsung I would say. It’s supposed to include the main sensor, a wide-angle lens, a telephoto and a macro lens, and according to older leaks, we should expect 2 unannounced 50MP sensors from Sony. When it comes to the display, we expect a 6.7-inch WQHD + panel with an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz. It will most likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G, a 4500 mAh battery that does the charging with 65 W and wireless charging at 30 W are supported. We should get the Find X3 Pro sometime in April or late March, so the leaks should only intensify from here.
Let’s talk about Apple’s AirTags, which have been heavily rumored and leaked over the past few months. Back in 2019, MacRumors restored some screenshots of how the Find My app would work with these trackers. Now someone has found a hidden Items tab in the Find My app that can be activated on your iPhone or iPad when you enter a specific link in Safari, and you get to that tab in the Find My app. Once you’ve entered the link and he redirects you, the “Me” tab will ask you to keep track of your everyday items like you were keys, your bag and it even shows you a bike. You can also use it to search for a lost item, but of course that doesn’t work at the moment as the tags aren’t exactly off. If you weren’t careful, AirTags are Apple’s tile-like trackers that Apple even referred to in previous videos. According to famed leaker Jon Prosser, who has rarely been proven wrong, these are up and running, but we don’t know when Apple will announce them yet, and it looks like Samsung is going to hit them hard tomorrow. Of course, your guess is as good as mine when it comes to why we’re waiting, but it seems March will be the next ticket for launch.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 series may come with a significant price cut
The Samsung Galaxy S21 family’s custom color options have reached all their glory
And of course, the hottest news today has to do with Samsung as we are almost a couple of hours away from the Unpacked event. In the past couple of months, we’ve got everything from the specs to the design, even the thin box. Now that we’re a couple of hours away, let’s start with a round-up of everything we know so far. We expect 3 phones, the S21, the S21 + and the Ultra as well as the Galaxy Buds Pro and the Galaxy Smart Tags. The S21 will reportedly have a 6.2-inch display, while the S21 + will go up to 6.5 inches, both with FHD + and 120 Hz. Both will be from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of memory operated. For the cameras we expect 2 12MP sensors for the main camera and the ultra-wide camera as well as a 64MP telephoto lens. On the Ultra, this is a 6.8-inch QHD + display with 120 Hz, which is powered by the Snapdragon 888 5G and the Exynos 2100, depending on the region. Here you start at 12 GB of RAM, up to 16 GB and 128 GB of storage, up to 512 GB. The cameras come with a 108-megapixel sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-widescreen sensor, 2 10-megapixel telephotos for 3x or 10x zooming, as well as an additional sensor for laser autofocus. We’ve seen several renders for all of the phones, but some new ones show us the colorways for the Ultra, including black, brown, blue, gray, and white that are reminiscent of the Galaxy S10. Finally, let’s move on to a new development that comes from some sources in South Korea on price. Accordingly, when upgrading, the S21 will start at around $ 900, the S21 + at $ 1099, and the S21 Ultra at $ 1299 or $ 1399. And yes, we know it still sounds pricey, but it’s definitely a cut compared to the S20 line.
