Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 leak in official Samsung app, revealing colours and software program options software program

While the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is likely to take place on August 11th, most if not all of the devices have been completely leaked, which is probably why Samsung is pursuing the leaks. We’ve seen pretty much everything about the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 devices. Today we see you another new leak about the Galaxy Buds 2.

A developer named Tim Schneeberger has just found an early beta version of an unreleased Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 plug-in on Samsung’s update server (via XDA-Developers). The shared information confirms the upcoming color options and also reveals what functions the Galaxy Buds 2 will have at launch.

The new color options for the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 include gray / green, purple, yellow, black and white. Most of the same colors that we showed you in another leak a few weeks ago.

Initially, the Galaxy Buds 2 will have Active Noise Canceling in an earbud, although the option is currently invisible in the app. Schneeberger mentioned that it will get to the app as soon as it detects that the updated earbuds are connected to the phone. As with the Galaxy Buds Live, there will be an interactive tutorial feature as well as single / double / triple tap, touch-and-hold, and deactivation beep-tap functionality.

If you compare the Galaxy Buds 2 with the Galaxy Buds Pro, the 360-degree sound function and the “external volume control with double tap” are missing. The selection of High and Low for ANC is also not available. The battery in each earbud is said to be 61 mAh, while the case has 472 mAh.

The Galaxy Buds 2 plugin here is still just a pre-release, beta version, so any changes you see here may look different when the Galaxy Buds 2 officially launches next month. It’s also possible that some features will be added over the next few weeks as the earbuds get closer to the official reveal. We also saw some leaks about the price of the Galaxy Buds 2 and also saw additional confirmations of the ANC functionality.
