Samsung is up to date with updates. Lately, the company has released operating system updates for its mid-range devices faster than OnePlus. The Samsung Galaxy A71 5G and Galaxy M31s are reportedly the latest devices to receive the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update. The update with firmware versions A716USQU2CUA7 and M317FXXU2CUB1 brings Android 11 with One UI 3.0 to both phones.
Additionally, the Galaxy A71 5G will get the Android security patch for January 2021. On the other hand, the Galaxy M31s will reportedly get the latest Android security patch from February 2021. However, the 4G variant of the Galaxy A71 seems to be missing out on the update. At least for now. The information comes from a report by SamMobile. The Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update for Galaxy M31s (test) has reportedly been rolled out in Russia and Ukraine. However, it is likely that it will expand to other regions soon.
Both the Galaxy A71 5G and Galaxy M31 get Android 11 features, including conversation sections, media playback widgets, and chat bubbles. The update also introduces One UI 3.0, which has features like an improved lock screen, updated UI design, new camera features, and updated standard apps. However, we don’t have an official changelog of the Galaxy M31 yet.
If you have either phone, you can go Settings> System Updates> Check for System Updates> Download Now> Install Update. We recommend that your phone stays charged over 50% before downloading and installing the latest update. If you haven’t received it yet, it’s better to wait. The Android 11 update for Galaxy M31s and Galaxy A71 5G will likely hit you soon.
