Redmi wants to launch its next K-series smartphones. The company is expected to prepare the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro on February 25th. According to new leaks, the Pro model will be equipped with the Snapdragon 888 SoC, while the Vanille Redmi K40 will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset. In addition, the devices were also reportedly discovered on TENAA’s website. It shows the design of the phones with camera modules similar to the Mi 11.
The information comes from a tipster who went to the Weibo website and shared alleged screenshots of the About Phone page for both the Redmi K40 Pro and the Redmi K40. Some important specifications of the devices were revealed.
The Redmi K40 Pro is presented Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC under the hood. It is paired with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB onboard storage. The device could a 6.81 inch display with a resolution of 1,440 × 3,200 pixels. It could pack a 5,000mAh battery. On the front of the optics, the Redmi K40 Pro could be equipped with a quad rearview camera guided by one 108MP primary sensor. It could be accompanied by one 13MP camera, 5MP lens and 2MP sensor. One may be on the front 30MP selfie shooter.
With the Redmi K40 it is supplied with power Snapdragon 870 SoC. The chipset is a slightly optimized version of the Snapdragon 865+. It could be the same 6.81 inch display. It could come with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The smartphone could set up a quad rear view camera 108MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP. It should pack a 4,500mAh battery.
The details of how to fast charge both devices are unknown. However, as we get closer to launch, we expect Xiaomi to release more teasers for the devices.
