PPK for UAV photogrammetry: the final word workflow

Webinar: PPK for UAV Photogrammetry, THE optimal workflow for reducing GCP and maximizing ROI – with DJI Phantom 4 RTK. Register here to attend this free webinar on July 1 at 11:00 AM EST in the US, 5:00 PM CEST (UTC + 2) to help SBG Systems announce new features for their flagship INS Join Qinertia GNSS PPK software.

This webinar guides viewers through an optimal workflow, demonstrated with a DJI Phantom 4 RTK – and explains how Qinertia can drastically reduce GCP requirements and maximize ROI.

“UAV-based photogrammetry is a booming sector,” says SBG Systems. Drones enable economical large-scale data collection, and supporting solutions are rapidly evolving to meet the needs of geospatial professionals. Qinertia continues to work to democratize centimeter-accurate photogrammetry. “Qinertia’s unique Virtual Base Station (VBS) and PPP solutions enable photogrammetry tasks even in the most remote locations,” says SBG.

Discover the optimal workflow for your UAV with SBG’s webinar organized on July 1st, 5:00 p.m. CEST (UTC + 2), and learning:

  • How precise geotagging of images is becoming a standard for UAV photogrammetry jobs: quality assessment with DJI Phantom 4 RTK data
  • Why PPK is the best choice for photogrammetry jobs
  • The ideal workflow with Qinertia and PIX4D (live demo)

What is Qinertia Post Processing for UAV Photogrammetry?

Who said post-production had to be complicated? Qinertia is the easiest, fastest, full-featured post-processing software – popular with geospatial professionals for its modern and intuitive user interface.

After the mission, Qinertia will grant access to RTK corrections from more than 7,000 base stations in 164 countries. Trajectory and orientation are then greatly enhanced by processing inertial data and raw GNSS observables in the forward and reverse directions. During the webinar, new functions for photogrammetry, such as geotagging and specific output of images, will be announced.

As an open software, Qinertia is compatible with all GNSS receivers in survey quality as well as with several Inertial Measurements Units (IMU). Qinertia’s prices have been tailored to UAV-specific needs with special editions. Integrators will appreciate the fully documented and modern command line interface that enables fully automated workflows.

Qinertia reads JPG directly, and geotagged images can be easily edited and exported.
