No OnePlus 9T this 12 months?

It seems we’ll be getting more changes from OnePlus this year. The company has traditionally launched a T variant of its main series in the second half of the year since the introduction of the OnePlus 3T in 2016. We do know, however, that OnePlus has been busy offering us cheaper devices under the Nord brand, which could explain why we didn’t get a Pro variant of last year’s OnePlus 8T, and it seems like things could get worse as we did may not even get a new OnePlus 9T this year.

No 9T

– Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) July 27, 2021

We have terrible news for every OnePlus fan who has been waiting for the OnePlus 9T to arrive. According to Max Jambor, OnePlus won’t be giving us a new 9T. And let’s face it, this information doesn’t come as a big surprise. We’ve already seen OnePlus skip last year’s OnePlus 8T Pro variant, and rumors also suggested we wouldn’t get a 9T Pro variant this year either. Well, missing out on a new 9T Pro didn’t sound too bad, but Jambor claims the entire line will be a no-show.

We can’t say this will be the death of the T-Series as many things can happen in the tech world. We know there is a chip shortage around the world and manufacturers have been forced to move or even skip some of their most popular devices. Remember that due to the current situation, OnePlus has already had to limit the current storage options of the OnePlus 9 series in the US. We also have to keep in mind that the company’s recent merger with OPPO may also have affected the launch of a new OnePlus 9T, as the company may have to downsize its device lines. However, this is still a rumor and needs to be treated as such, so take it with some salt.
