A woman was admitted to hospital with serious injuries after an accident on a scooter this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Walton Road near St. Hilda Pub to report a collision with a scooter and a pedestrian.
It happened just before 4 p.m. today (Sunday).
A police spokesman said the 43-year-old woman was hospitalized with a serious but not life-threatening leg injury.
The scooter driver suffered a minor injury to his arm and was hospitalized as a precaution.
The stretch of road where the incident occurred was closed for several hours before reopening later that evening.
People used social media to report that the road “has been closed from One Stop to Hilda Pub”.
It is not known if any arrests were made.
