Girl combating for all times after scooter crash in Ocean Seashore Fractures Cranium – NBC 7 San Diego

A woman who was thrown from an electric scooter after hitting a crack on an Ocean Beach street was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries on Monday, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The 27-year-old woman, who was not identified, was driving a bird scooter towards the beach on Cape May Avenue Sunday afternoon when the scooter hit a crack in the sidewalk. The troop threw them over the handlebars and upside down on the sidewalk, SDPD said.

Medics took the woman to hospital, where she stayed on Monday with life-threatening injuries including a cerebral haemorrhage and a fractured skull.

SDPD’s transport department is investigating the incident.

At least two people have died and several others were injured in dockless scooter accidents in San Diego, which gained widespread popularity in 2018, forcing the San Diego City Council to find ways to regulate their use.
