Delhi-like horror: A man in a speeding car hit a two-wheeler and dragged two women and the vehicle on a road in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur.

By Ranjai Singh: Close on the heels of Delhi’s Kanjhawala horror, two scooter-borne women were hit by a speeding car and dragged for a few meters in the Fazalganj area of ​​Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur. However, after covering a certain distance, the women fell off the scooter.

According to police, the suspect, Rohan, was crossing the Govindpuri bridge at a high speed when his car rammed into the scooter.

Police said Rohan did not stop the car after the accident and kept moving, dragging the scooter along. They added that the women, Kaushiki and Paridhi, got separated from the two-wheeler after a while and fell on the ground but the scooter continued to be dragged.

Police officials said when people saw the car dragging the two-wheeler, they stopped the four-wheeler and started thrashing Rohan. Some policemen came in, rescued Rohan, and took him to the Fazalganj police station.

Kaushiki and Paridhi were rushed to Mariampur Hospital, where doctors said that their condition was stable.

Police said that the women and their relatives had not lodged a written complaint but police will look into the matter.

During interrogation, Rohan told police that the scooter got stuck in front of his car on its own and he did not drag it far. He also alleged that his car was vandalised.
