Dates, schedule and what to anticipate in Vegas

The world’s largest technology fair is returning to Las Vegas, Nevada, in January after taking a physical break from You Know What last year – and we’re excited to see the latest equipment and innovations showcased in person again. Without further ado, here is everything you need to know about CES 2022.

The Consumer Technology Association, which organized the annual extravaganza, has confirmed that the biggest players in the industry will be back in action in Vegas next year – Sony, Samsung, LG and Panasonic are just some of the heavyweights on the floor Las Vegas Convention Center.

However, CES 2022 is likely to be a relatively low-key affair – at least by the normally noisy standards of the Vegas Strip – as Covid-related restrictions continue to hamper global travel, so a reduced number of visitors is expected at the fair, although there is no official limit for numbers in the desert.

Those who land at McCarran International get their money’s worth, but the latest in TV technology is always one of the highlights at the Consumer Electronics Show.

Dates of CES 2022 and schedule for the press conferences

The Consumer Electronics Show will take place in early January as usual, with CES 2022 open to the public from Wednesday, January 5th to Saturday, January 8th.

Before that, there will be two invitation-only CES media days, scheduled for Monday January 3rd and Tuesday January 4th. Monday will be headed by CES Unveiled, the show’s official launch event, at Mary Barra. attending, GM’s Chairman & CEO will deliver the opening speech.

Tuesday is commanded by corporate press conferences, a full list of which can be found below. The stated start times are local US Pacific times, with the East Coast and UK CES times also being mentioned for the sake of simplicity.

CES 2022 keynote schedule

Keynote speakers at CES 2022 include Mike Sievert, CEO and President of T-Mobile; and Jong-hee Han, vice chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics.

Especially Samsung’s keynote entitled “Together for Tomorrow” is worth seeing for gadget fans, as the company has confirmed a new mystery product.

The keynotes will highlight some of the biggest CES trends and topics, among other things. More on this below.

With a keynote focused on GM’s plans to go all-electric, it’s no surprise that Electric vehicles (electric vehicles) are expected to be the topic of conversation at CES 2022.

Hot on the heels of the green wheels, expect the metaverse pretty much dominating this year’s show thematically, as 2022 is widely forecast as the year our digital and actual selves become one.

Closely related to everything Cryptocurrency is going to be big at the next consumer electronics show and we have the spread of NFTs in particular.

It wouldn’t be CES if it was the latest TV weren’t among the big revelations, so expect lots of stunning new display tech as Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Sony and Philips all unveil their 2022 product plans.

As things move from the conference to the casino floor – and the bar in particular – plenty to talk about the future of workas companies and their top talent continue to grapple with the impact of Covid-19 on the workforce and employee expectations.

After CES finally imposed an (official) ban on so-called ‘booth babes’ in 2022, it promised to actively advertise Diversity and inclusion. Here it is to be hoped that it does.
