Black Shark Four gaming smartphone surfaces on the TENAA certification web page

Black Shark introduced Black Shark 3 and 3S in 2020. Now the arrival of its next gaming smartphone, called the Black Shark 4, is announced. The brand has also officially confirmed some of its features. In addition, the device was discovered on TENAA, a certification body in China. The upcoming gaming smartphone will be powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon 888 SoC from Qualcomm. It will contain a 4,500 mAh battery that is said to support 120 W fast charging.

According to the TENAA list, Black Shark 4 will have a 6.67-inch display. If we are to speculate, the device will likely come with a high refresh rate OLED display. It will have at least an FHD + resolution. The upcoming smartphone will support 5G and run Android 11. It will have Joy UI on the latest operating system. The device measures 163.83 x 76.35 x 10.3 mm. That’s all we currently know about the device as part of the datasheet. It also has the code name “Kaiser” with the model number KSR-A0. IT scored 788,505 points in the AnTuTu benchmark listing.

It’s also surprising that Black Shark bears the number ‘4’ as many Chinese brands, including OnePlus and iQOO, have skipped the number in the past. In addition, ASUS plans to skip it as well and launch the ROG Phone 5 as the successor to the ROG Phone 3. It’s slated to start next month. The device has been spotted at various certification bodies, and the handy live images have already been leaked. It will be a Black Shark 4 competitor. Both smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC and have some game-specific design updates.
