Scooters And One Wheels

Bajaj Chetak’s e-scooter costs went up

Bajaj first launched its Chetak electric scooter in 2020 in two variants – Urban and Premium. Both variants have now received a price increase, with the Urbane now costing 1.15 lakh, while the premium variant costs 1.20 lakh.

The premium model has additional metallic color options, a dark brown seat, metallic colored wheels and a disc brake on the front. The urban model, meanwhile, does without the metallic color option and uses a drum brake at the front.

An electric motor with 3.8 kW / 4.1 kW (continuous / peak power) serves as the drive, which sends power to the rear wheel via an automated gearbox. This motor is powered by a lithium-ion battery, which should achieve a range of 95 km in eco mode and 85 km in sport mode. Bajaj also offers a three year / 50,000 km warranty on the IP67 battery. The charging time of the Chetak is 5 hours for 100% and 1 hour for 25%.
