Apple hires former HTC design guru to revamp Beats headphones?

Apple is constantly working to bring great Apple-branded devices to its loyal fans. However, it seems that Cupertino has neglected the longest to take care of some of its other brands, such as Beats. When the AirPods Max were just a rumor, we thought Apple was trying to ditch Beats to avoid unnecessary internal competition. However, we now see that the truth was even more exciting.

Apple is in no way trying to kill its Beats brand, on the contrary. Cupertino has hired people to help redesign its popular headphone products. Such is the case of Scott Croyle, who became a director at Apple last year after years of designing Android devices.

“Apple has invested in the Beats hardware division since acquiring the company in 2014. Starting in 2016, Beats Hardware has released new products with Apple technology integrated into Powerbeats3, Beats Solo 3 and BeatsX. Each product has a technology that is used in the newly introduced AirPods. “

“More recently, Beats has released brand new designs for products that meet customer needs other than Apple branded headphones. Powerbeats Pro have a much longer battery life than AirPods Pro, and the new Powerbeats offer even more batteries at a cheaper price. “

Mr. Croyle was the person responsible for leading the HTC design team when HTC had great success with the HTC One M7 and M8. He later left HTC to work on other projects and managed to start a design company called Attic.

Now he works with Apple to oversee Beats product design and be the filter for everything that happens between Beats and the design company Ammunition, which is responsible for the appearance of the latest Beats hardware products. And this information brings with it more great news as Cupertino appears to be working on bringing new products to its Beats fans.

Rumor has it that the Beats team has been researching other brands of speakers and headphones, which means we could soon get new headphone designs and a new speaker that we haven’t seen since the Beats Pill + was released in 2015. Now we really want to know if these new headphones and speakers contain the W1 or H1 chips, or if they come with features like AirPlay 2 as they are not in any of the latest models.
