Yamaha Motor has introduced the 2022 iteration of the TMax maxi scooter for Europe. I know, I know, they never seem to bring all those fancy looking scooters to India, but corporate strategy has to do its thing. That shouldn’t prevent us from at least indulging in the joy of reading about it, however. This fascinating looking scooter, which in its new form comes with a multitude of updates, is quite a popular offer on the continent. In fact, it has been the best-selling sports scooter in Europe for two decades. On the peculiarities of the changes that we see on the new TMax 560 avatar.

Yamaha TMax 2022 has a decidedly sportier stance and confident styling that is normally associated with the design and styling principles of supersport motorcycles. The list of changes includes, among other things, new double LED headlights, a larger windscreen and a larger air intake on the front apron. The one-piece seat of the new TMax also has a lumbar support for the driver, which should make the scooter very comfortable, especially on long journeys.

The automaker has equipped the 2022 TMax with Bluetooth-enabled smartphone connectivity, integrated navigation with Garmin cards, USB, etc., but based on which of the two variants TMax and TMax Tech Max you choose. Additional features of the scooter include a new 7-inch TFT screen for the instrument panel, heated handlebar grips and seats, and an electrically adjustable windshield. Wait, we’re not done yet; The new Yamaha TMax also features keyless start, smart key remote control, cruise control, traction control and multiple driving modes.

The scooter retains the engine of its predecessor, i.e. a 560 cc two-cylinder DOHC engine that offers a maximum power of 48 hp at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 56 Nm at 5,250 rpm.
