When are you able to order iPhone 14? The essential dates to recollect

Apple’s Far Out event earlier this week saw a bunch of new products from our favorite fruity tech company. There are new Apple Watch models, an all-new Apple Watch Ultra, a much-anticipated second-generation of AirPods Pro, and, of course, the new iPhone 14 line-up and Pro line-up.

If, like us, you’re keen to get your hands on the new iPhone 14 models as soon as possible, you might be wondering when you can order the new devices. Here’s what you need to know.

Pre-order on iPhone now

Pre-orders for all of the iPhone 14 models are now open at the Apple Store or on the Apple Store app on your iPhone.

Once you’ve made a pre-order, you’ll be able to pick up (from your front door or local Apple Store) your shiny new iPhone 14 next Friday (16 September).

Not so fast: How about general sale?

The new iPhone 14 line-up will hit the shelves for general sale next Friday (16 September). You’ll be able to nab one from Apple, other tech retailers, and phone carriers from then onwards. That applies to both online and in-person sales – whatever floats your boat!

Be warned that new iPhones are infamously hard to buy on launch day. With pre-orders opening up a week prior, most of the stock Apple has to hand gets gobbled up. This would be a good time to try out other stores, but still prepare for delays for a week or two while they get more stock in .

And the all important question: How much for an iPhone 14?

In case you missed it, there are four models this year: the standard 14, a larger 14 Plus, the 14 Pro, and the larger 14 Pro Max. Here’s how much you’ll have to shell out:

  • iPhone 14: $799/£849
  • iPhone 14 Plus: $899/£949
  • iPhone 14 Pro: $999/£1099
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max: $1099/£1199

For the US prices, things are looking more or less the same as last year. Unfortunately, the UK is being hit by poor currency conversion estimates and Apple’s new smartphones are a little pricier.
