The Samsung Galaxy S21 5G and S21 Ultra 5G were available to buyers yesterday. The Totallee folks were ready on launch day and sent a couple of cases to test.
Totallee offers two color / material options for all three new Galaxy S21 models. You can choose a matte black case and a transparent (clear) option. I tried the matte black on the S21 Ultra and the transparent on the S21.

The Totallee sleeves are available now for $ 39. That price seems a bit high as the cases are ultra-thin and offer scratch protection with little drop support. I’ve really enjoyed these cases on glossy glass phones in the past, but the S21 phones now have matte finishes while the S21 and S21 Plus have plastic backs. The elegance of the Totallee case is its no-branding simplicity, super-thin design (0.02 inch), light weight (0.1 oz), and the ability to add just enough to provide some protection.
The case protects the back from scratches and has edge protection that can help with small bumps. There’s a slightly raised edge around the rear camera opening, with the edges around the phone just above the front to protect the display when you’re laying it face down on a table.
The case works fine with payment systems, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. The cases go very well together, but these S21 versions are easier to install and remove than previous versions I’ve tested on other phones.
The matt black housing is made of polypropylene and fits perfectly with the matt black of the S21 series. You can hardly tell the case is on the phone without sacrificing pocketability, but there is some edge protection and the entire back is covered. There is also a form-fitting edge around the camera array so some protection is provided for the cameras as well.

The transparent case feels more shiny and gel-like (it’s made of TPU), while the matte cases are made of stiffer plastic. The transparent case also has a slightly thicker material, but it also shows the color and style of your Galaxy S21. If you have a phantom color other than black, you may prefer the transparent case to show the color of your phone. I am testing a Phantom Violet S21 so the purple color and rose gold edges look great.
