Totallee cowl for Apple iPhone 12: Discreet scratch safety

The Apple iPhone 12 just hit the market and features the cool new blue color option that I couldn’t resist. Totallee sent a couple of their iPhone 12 thin cases with them. If you want to keep the bulk of your iPhone’s look, consider these super thin cases.

Totallee is offering five color / material options for the iPhone 12 this year. If you have any of the other three iPhone 12 models, there are case options for these too. IPhone 12 options include matte cases in Frosted Clear, Frosted Black, Navy Blue, and Green. Totallee also offers a transparent (clear) option. I tried the Frosted Black and Navy Blue case options.

The Totallee sleeves are expected to ship November 13th and are available for pre-order now for $ 35. The elegance of the Totallee iPhone 12 case is its no-branding simplicity, super-thin design (0.02 inch), light weight (0.1 oz), and the ability to add just enough to provide some protection.

The case protects the back from scratches and has edge protection that can help with small bumps. There is a slightly raised edge around the rear camera opening, with the edges around the phone just above the front to protect the display when you lay it face down on a table.

The volume buttons and the buttons on the right and the ringtone switch are open. There are also lower openings for the Lightning connector, speaker, and microphone.

The case works perfectly with Apple Pay and wireless charging. I don’t have MagSafe accessories to test, but the cases are so thin that Totallee says they are compatible with MagSafe.

The navy blue is a perfect complement to the blue model of iPhone 12. Personally, I hate the glossy back of the blue iPhone, so this Totallee iPhone 12 case adds a matte finish without actually looking like a case.

The case fits very tightly so work carefully around the last corner and on your device. I bent the edge material a bit the first time, but was able to work it in with a little more care.

The transparent case feels more shiny and gel-like, while the matte cases are made of stiffer plastic. The transparent case is made of a slightly thicker material, but it also shows the color and style of your iPhone 12.
