Realme Flash would be the first Android telephone to assist magnetic wi-fi charging

Some rumors suggested that Realme might be working on its version of MagSafe called MagDart. Some previous rumors suggested that this would work very similarly to Apple technology, with magnets built into both the charger and the phone to ensure a more secure fit. It seems like the rumors were correct after all, and Realme actually appears to be preparing to launch its new Realme Flash smartphone, which will be the first Android phone to support MagDart, the wireless magnetic charger.

The news was reported by GSMArena. The report shows the case with the new charger, which will work very similarly to Apple’s MagSafe technology. The MagDart is attached to the back of the device and charges it wirelessly. The MagDart also appears to be a bit bigger than what Apple is currently offering, but that could be due to the charger’s output, which will exceed 15W at launch, according to GSMArena.

The charger also includes a USB-C port, and a smaller magnetic charger may also be in the works that is much more similar to Apple’s MagSafe charger. This charger would have a built-in cord and rumor has it it would support charging speeds of 15W.

The Realme Flash will have a curved display with a hole cut out in the upper left corner of the display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset and has 12 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage space. There will be a triple camera on the back, although the specs are not yet known at this point. Android 11 is running on Flash with Realme UI 2.0.

What is magnetic wireless charging?

It’s essentially the same technology used in regular wireless chargers that you see in some fast food restaurants, offices, and many other places in the area. As soon as you put your phone on the wireless pad, it will charge instantly. Magnetic wireless charging works very similarly, but it often has magnets built into both the wireless pad and the smartphone for more convenient charging of the smartphone. The magnets keep the device firmly attached to the wireless pad, so it’s much harder to lose connectivity, and depending on the charger itself, you may also find it easier to use your device without worrying about breaking it down a bit move one page and let them accidentally separate.
