September 11, 2022 – Slinger, WI – There’s a new coffee shop and car wash being proposed for a high-traffic intersection in Slinger, WI. The Plan Commission reviewed a proposal submitted by Krisandra Lippert for a Scooter’s Coffee House, 905 E. Commerce Blvd. Originally this was going to be a simple kiosk-type store, but later expanded to have a drive thru and dine-in option with coffee and food.
Scooter’s Coffee company was founded in the Omaha area in 1998. In 2021 (139) new stores opened and to date there are 350+ stores.
Scooter’s operates under a “drive-thru concept serving specialty coffee drinks, real-fruit smoothies, power drinks and breakfast food, including hand-made from scratch cinnamon rolls in their facility in Omaha.”

The stores were started by Don & Linda Eckel who still run it as a privately held company.
Scooter’s Coffee is relatively new with stores coming to Onalaska, Holmen, Beloit, Paddock Lake, Mt Pleasant, Janesville, West Milwaukee, and New Berlin.
The coffee house and drive-thru are known for “speed of service” and the company motto is “Amazing People, Amazing Drinks, Amazingly Fast.”
The coffee house will employ approximately 20 – 25 people.
This model is approx. 1,650-square-feet serving coffee, tea, smoothies, claim to fame freshly made (at our Omaha headquarters) cinnamon buns, and limited menu items. The building capacity is 48 occupants.
Exterior design plans for Scooter’s
Scooters hours of operation are between approximately 6 am thru 10 pm
The carwash and scooters are both shown on plans; however, Scooters will be the project to go first therefore, there are no architectural plans available for the car wash at this time.
Some details on the car wash are below.
Drive-thru car wash with outdoor space allocated for self-service vacuum and vehicle detailing, on a portion of the vacant 1.97 +/- acre lot located at the southeast corner of Hwy. 60/ E. Commerce Blvd. at Hwy. 175/ E Washington Street. Walgreen Co. currently owns this property. It is zoned B-2 Commercial District.
The Plan Commission recommended the site proposal go before the Village Board for approval.
Project scheduling is contingent upon approvals, there is an approximate (16) week construction schedule and two weeks for training and stocking. The ultimate goal is to be open serving coffee by the end of 2022.
