OPPO Discover X3 with Snapdragon 870 SoC

OPPO is preparing to launch its next flagship series, the OPPO Find X3 range. From certifications to leaked images, we’ve heard a lot about the Find X3 Pro, but the details of the Find X3 are still unknown. However, a new leak claims to have revealed the processor details of the upcoming vanilla version of the flagship.

The OPPO Find X3 is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, which was launched a month ago. The chipset is a continuation of the flagship chipset Snapdragon 865 Plus. It features an upgraded Qualcomm Kryo 585 CPU with a top notch core clock speed of up to 3.2 GHz. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC is equipped with an Adreno 650 GPU. There is a Snapdragon X55 5G modem with support for 5G mmWave and sub-6 GHz.

The latest development comes from a tweet sharing screenshots of the AIDA64 benchmarks, AnTuTu appearance, and the About Phone page of the OPPO PEDM00 phone. It shows that the phone has a Qualcomm chip with the model number ‘sm8250’, the Adreno 650 GPU and codenamed ‘kona’. The Snapdragon 870 SoC is specifically mentioned on the info page of the OPPO Find X3.

According to the screenshots, the OPPO Find X3 has a display with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels. It could be equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. One of the cameras is also listed with 12.6 MP. If you look closely, you will also see a free space in all three screenshots in the upper left corner. This indicates the presence of a hole cutout on the display.
