OnePlus Buds Professional may have adaptive noise cancellation and warp cost

Last week, Pete Lau announced that OnePlus was planning an event to announce the new OnePlus Nord 2. That event will take place next Thursday July 22nd, and things will get even better when we get confirmation that the new OnePlus Buds Pro will also be out next week.

It seems like we’re getting more than one new product at the next OnePlus event, which is officially slated to take place on July 22nd. The information comes from none other than OnePlus’ R&D head Kinder Liu, who revealed that the new OnePlus Buds Pro will share the spotlight with the new Nord 2 5G. This is not a big surprise as we had already received information in a OnePlus forum post claiming that the new Buds Pro would hit the market next week.

“Are you excited about the upcoming launch of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G? I bet you didn’t know that the new part of the Nord series will be accompanied by the yet to be announced Buds Pro! Do you want to test both of them? Well, you may have to wait less than you expected. “

Now the most interesting part is that Kinder Liu also revealed some details about the upcoming headphones in a recent interview with CNET. He explained that the OnePlus Buds Pro will have adaptive noise cancellation thanks to three microphones that would allow the earbuds to monitor outside noise in order to “generate intelligent noise-canceling counter frequencies”. Additionally, he mentioned that the buds will be able to “adjust how much noise cancellation is required and adjust themselves from a minimum of 15 decibels to a maximum of 40 dB”.

He also announced that the company has been working on the new earbuds since July last year.
“For OnePlus, we always want to create the best possible user experience. Audio devices are an important part of our users’ daily digital lives and are the key to taking the digital entertainment experience to the next level.
“The wide range of audio products that we have previously developed has finally prepared us to introduce a truly leading wireless audio device with active noise cancellation and other great features.”

According to Liu, the new OnePlus Buds Pro deliver up to 38 hours of battery life if you have deactivated active noise cancellation or 28 hours with ANC activated. You will also have wireless charging, although it is limited to 2 watt speeds. However, if you don’t mind lugging around your cables, you can get up to ten hours of battery life on a 10-minute charge.
