With the release of four new iPhone models from Apple, Nomad is coming out of the gates with a variety of case options ranging from $ 49.95 to $ 69.95. I tried a few new cases on my blue iPhone 12, including a case in natural colors.
The iPhone 12 is Apple’s newest 6.1-inch phone for the masses. Apple also launched the iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 mini, so there are plenty of options available in terms of size, color, and storage capacity. Nomad has cases for all of these new iPhones.

The new rugged case is available for $ 49.95 in black, natural, and rustic brown. I spent a few days with the Rustic Brown and Natural paint boxes. This is the first time I’ve seen the natural color. It is an interesting option and will patina over time.
The Rugged Case’s internal bumper system helps your phone withstand a 10-foot drop, which provides some relief for drops from your hand in everyday use. The body of the case is made of polycarbonate with a Horween leather backing to give your case a unique look over time.
The inside of the Nomad Active Rugged case is lined with soft gray material, looks like wool, with the Nomad logo on the inside. The iPhone 12 snaps securely into the polycarbonate core frame, making sure the case won’t fall off the iPhone. There are enough openings for the rear view cameras, the flash, the flash connector, the loudspeaker and the microphones.
The buttons on the right and the volume buttons have subtly raised areas for activation. The button on the right has a texture that makes it easy to find with your fingers. There are two lanyard openings (lanyard not included) at the bottom near the corners so you can secure your iPhone during your adventures.
The frame wraps around all four sides and protrudes slightly beyond the display, so your screen is protected when you put your phone on a table. I was able to use wireless chargers with no issues and Nomad has certified that the case works with MagSafe accessories.

Robust folio case
While you can use your iPhone for Apple Pay, you will still need to carry ID, access card keys, and other cards with you. On my local train I see folio-style suitcases with transit passes and access keys for the company door every day.
The new iPhone 12 Rugged Folio is also available in black and rustic brown with Horween leather on the back and front of the case. There are three card slots and one money slot on the inside flap of this case with a nominal capacity for six cards. I was able to carry two credit cards, my ORCA transit card, and a $ 20 bill with me without any problems.
The front flap is slightly smaller than the rear, so the front flap rests right on the edge of the rear part’s TPU side bumpers. This case also offers 10-foot drop protection thanks to the new internal shock absorber, two lanyard attachment points and wonderful Horween leather.
The Rugged Folio is available for $ 69.95. It is a very functional case that provides a powerful wallet for the mobile user.
