NEW MacBook Professional for WWDC, Pixel 6 Digicam Chip & extra! (Video)

As you’d expect, the official news starts with deals today. Amazon is still undefeated when it comes to Apple deals. You can currently save the brand new M1 iPad for $ 50 while leaving the 11-inch variant for 750 for the base model. Exactly the tablet that was just launched. If you want a 12.9-inch variant, the 2020 model is currently $ 100 cheaper, leaving the 256GB storage variant for 999. If you stay with Amazon but switch to Samsung, the regular Galaxy Note 20 is available for $ 200, the base model for 799. If you switch to Samsung.com, the Galaxy S21 is still available for $ 99, the S21 + for 300 and the S21 Ultra for 500, if you have a device to swap. Finally, OnePlus has the OnePlus 8 for $ 200 off, the base model for $ 499. Or you can opt for the 8T, which is $ 150 cheaper, and leave the 12 Gigs RAM variant for 599. We have more deals on Sony TVs, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and more in the links in the description.

Let’s bring Samsung’s attention to some official news, as the company just released a brand new tablet that has been on the rumor mill for a while. We just received the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, which has a similar design to the regular Tab S7, from the metal construction to the AKG speakers, and it also has support for Sub 6 5G. Probably the biggest downgrade is the display, which is more of a 12.4-inch LCD display than the AMOLED panel you get on the regular variants. However, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing for those looking for more color accuracy. It is powered by the Snapdragon 750G processor with 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of expandable storage and a 10,090 mAh battery with 45 W fast charge support. There is an 8-megapixel sensor on the back with a 5-megapixel selfie shooter for video calls. Of course, the S Pen is still here. Currently this is only available in Europe for 649 euros and is available in the versions Mystic Silver and Mystic Black. Let’s see if the company releases more details on availability once it’s a very interesting silent release. For the first time today, let’s put Cupertino in the spotlight, starting with the iPod. Yeah, you heard that right. This was and is a great hardware year for Apple. We have a new iMac, a new iPad Pro, and we’re waiting for some updates at WWDC too. More on that later, and it looks like the iPod Touch is getting some love too. Steve Moser, contributor to MacRumors, tweeted a few days ago that an update for the iPod Touch will be released in the fall just in time for the 20th anniversary of the iPod. He’s also partnered with some sources and gave us some representations of what to expect, and all it can be said is that Apple is really pushing this new design strategy. We get flat edges like on the iPhone, the same single camera on the back, but the color options match the new iMacs and the iPad Air. There are narrow bezels on the front, but there is no home button for Touch ID or Face ID sensors. This means that we can either get the Touch ID via the power button or a fingerprint scanner under the display, or at least hope that this is correct. Of course we haven’t heard from other sources, so let’s take it with a grain of salt, but I wonder if this iPod Touch update has anything to do with Apple Music Lossless as well. Since it is an iPod. Before we get back to Apple and the latest news, let’s talk about Google, the Pixel 6 series, and what to expect from the internals. Recently, Max Weinbach went on a podcast where he revealed some information he got from his sources. According to Weinbach, Google’s Whitechapel isn’t as powerful as the Snapdragon 888 or the Exynos 2100 with the SoC. It’ll apparently be based on Samsung’s 5nm process, but when it comes to raw performance, it’ll end up somewhere in between the Snapdragon 865 and 888 are therefore not a flagship chip for 2021. Apparently, the special thing about this SoC is the neural processor unit and the image signal processor, which are specially built by Google. Usually this is included in all Snapdragon or Exynos chip phones. However, if you remember the Pixel Core we’ve used in the past, think of this as a similar approach. Technically, it should be a big upgrade considering we’re finally getting new hardware. Weinbach also claims that the colorways will be more of a combination of peach and gold like we got from Pixel 3, as well as a green, silver, and black design. Other internal reports also claim that Google wants to do marketing and even keep up with Sammy’s budget. So it looks like they really want to push the 6 Series forward. Finally, Weinbach claimed that the Pixel 5a will be launched with the Pixel 6, but the price will be higher than that of the Pixel 4a and won’t bring wireless charging. So yeah, this is going to be a crazy one. And finally, for the hottest news today, let’s talk about WWDC. I mean, you’d think we’re just talking about software updates as this has been Apple’s way of handling this event for a while, but it seems we’re getting hardware this year. And for the story, the iPhone 4 was even announced at WWDC. However, this time it won’t be an iPhone. Let’s talk about the MacBook Pro. Last week we had a report from Luke Miani that mentioned we could get the 14-inch MacBook Pro at WWDC, and now we have some more confirmations and teasers to match. If you enlarge the girls’ glasses in one of the WWDC teasers, you will see the code for three different emojis, which can then be pretty much translated into “Eat, Sleep, Mac”. These are then supposed to be true a few lines later, so this could be a pretty subtle teaser from Apple saying we’ll be getting a new Mac at WWDC, but it could just as well be just MacOS as a major update, who knows. AppleTrack picked up on this story, however, and then Jon Prosser tweeted that he could confirm the MacBook Pro was coming. Well, to be fair, Prosser simply said it was coming and didn’t specifically say it at WWDC, but it seems pretty clear since the reference was to the WWDC tweet. If you’re wondering what to expect for this Mac, it’s a complete redesign with smaller bezels on the display, no touch bar on the keyboard, and a ton of new ports (at least for a Mac) including MagSafe, HDMI, and Thunderbolt an SD card slot. We’re only a few weeks away, so let’s see if we get any more leaks or teasers.
