HUAWEI Sound Sensible Speaker, collectively developed with Devialet, is international

In October last year, HAUWEI launched a smaller and more cost-effective version of its Sound X-Smart loudspeaker called HUWEI Sound. Today the company announced that its latest audio offering is available worldwide. The device will set you back for £ 199.99 and will be available exclusively in the HUAWEI store in the UK market from April 1, 2021. It is also available in other markets including Australia, Cambodia, Chile, Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Spain and Turkey.

Starting with the design, the HUAWEI sound borrows heavily from the Sound X smart speaker, but reduces the form factor to bring all that audio goodness into a smaller package. It uses what HUAWEI calls Devialet Acoustic 4-speaker design that includes a 4-inch 40W woofer, three 5W full-range speakers, and two passive units. The Hi-Res Audio certified speaker supports the LDAC codec and enables users to play lossless audio files at up to 24 bit / 96 kHz.

When talking over audio playback, users can just tap their phone on the speaker (via NFC) for easy pairing issues and playing music. And in case you’re wondering, there’s a 3.5mm AUX input for wired music playback. In addition, UPnP allows users to transfer audio files from streaming apps on their phone to the smart speaker. And to store your music, the HUWEI Sound smart speaker is equipped with 8 GB of onboard storage. There is only a single black border on the table and buy before April 13th and get £ 50.

In terms of audio-centric features, the HUAWEI offering uses Devialet’s Speaker Active Matching technology to deliver powerful bass without compromising audio quality Devialet SPACE technology offers an impressive surround sound experience. Users can switch between a quartet of sound effects including hi-fi, vocals, surround stage, and bass – each with its own set of benefits. And for an additional touch of visual pizzazz, the buttons at the top have colorful ring lighting that pulsates according to the melodies.
