“When people think of the home for music videos, I want them to think of Loop,” said Jon Niermann, CEO and co-founder of Loop Media. “The opportunity to work so closely with Scooter, Allison and Jen and their combined expertise and experience is invaluable to the company.”
Niermann started Loop Media about five years ago in response to the untapped opportunity he saw for curating music videos. His 15 years of experience in managing companies in Asia for the video game company The Walt Disney Company DIS and Electronic Arts EA makes international expansion in the region a matter of course. Braun was characterized by a strong partnership, explains Niermann, for his unique ability to find his way around the music landscape and to manage artists like K-pop star Psy (“Gangnam Style”), which he signed with his label in 2012.
In the way that YouTube supports user-generated content, Loop Media improves social connectivity through music videos and the creation of custom playlists, interactive features, parties, and other sharing experiences. By connecting artists and fans, Loop Media is meeting the demand for more engaging virtual music experiences that are expected to continue beyond the pandemic. Artists are moving in the same direction, swapping backstage concert appearances with wider personal experiences.
“You can now enjoy the VIP experience from your living room,” says Niermann. “The pandemic has caused artists to rethink their approach, and it has also leveled the playing field for those who once sold out arenas. They now appear in their living room like everyone else. “
Loop offers free, ad-financed (or paid, ad-free) premium access to hundreds of on-demand channels with movie trailers, music and viral videos, travel and lifestyle content, highlights of university sports and much more. Organizations can leverage digital signage, custom playlists, and scheduling technologies to create a unique customer experience, while individual users can share content and host interactive watch parties with friends in other cities and soon more locations around the world.
