Finest Asus Telephones So Far in 2021

Today we are going to show you some of the best Asus phones out there that you can pick up today. Asus might not be the first company you think of when you think about upgrading to a new device, but it is one of the companies that have really high quality devices and they also make some of the best Android smartphones out there. In recent years, Asus phones have become known as powerhouses that have great build quality, great software, very powerful cameras, and smartphones that will provide a solid experience for a long time. Asus is among the best phones to consider today if performance is important to you.

Asus devices are a bit more expensive, mainly because of the high-end components they contain, which is why we have made other manuals available. One of our popular guidebooks is the best Samsung devices, which are available in a range of price ranges that may fit your budget a little better.

Best gamer phone: Asus ROG 5 Ultimate

The Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is one of the most powerful smartphones from the year 2021. It has a massive 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 144 Hz with a high refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits and HDR10 + support. It’s powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 chipsets coupled with 18GB of RAM – some computers don’t even have that much memory. It also has 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage for storing all of those games and cat pictures.

Speaking of pictures: there is a 64 MP main sensor on the back, a 13 MP ultrawide and a 5 MP macro sensor and a 24 MP selfie camera on the front. Asus isn’t known for having the best cameras out there, but it has gotten a lot better over the years and is more than capable – in fact, it’s really good. Taking pictures and playing games requires a large battery, luckily the 6,000 mAh capacity should be able to supply the device with power for some time. The device also supports a 65W fast charger that can charge the device to 70% in just 30 minutes or to 100% in just 52 minutes. There are also pressure and touch sensitive zones that are basically gaming triggers. The back also has a display in case you really want to customize it to your liking.

If you are looking for the ultimate gaming smartphone and you want to be up to date with the latest, most powerful device, the Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is the device for you.

Best for gamers: Asus ROG Phone 5

The Asus ROG Phone 5 is almost identical to the larger, higher quality ROG Phone 5 Ultimate, except that it is a little cheaper and has a little less storage. Configurations start at 8 GB of storage and 128 GB of storage, 12/128 GB, 12/256 GB, and 16/256 GB. The display, chipset and camera setup on the front and back are also identical. The only major difference is that it doesn’t have a dedicated display on the back, but rather an RGB light panel and the same pressure sensitive triggers.

If the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is too much for your needs, the ROG Phone 5 has most of the same specs for a little less.

Runner-up: Asus ROG Phone 3

The Asus ROG Phone 3 is the best gaming phone of 2020 powered by the Snapdragon 865 5G chipset and has 8/12/16 GB storage options and 128/256/512 GB storage options. It still has the UFS 3.1 quick storage option and like the newer flagships it doesn’t have expandable storage.

The 6.6-inch AMOLED display with 144 Hz and high refresh rate, HDR10 +, makes movies look beautiful and games very responsive. A 6,000 mAh battery keeps these movies and games looking great, and it also supports 30W fast charges.

There are different gamers with different needs, and this Asus ROG Phone 3 costs even less than the newer ROG Phone 5 and offers more than enough performance for your everyday needs at a great value.

Best flagship: Asus Zenfone 8 Flip

Smartphones come in all shapes and sizes and the Asus Zenfone 8 Flip is unique. It doesn’t have a selfie camera, but – as the name suggests – a flip camera so that the primary rear shooters can be used for selfies. If you want to improve your selfie game or vlogging on the go, this is a perfect device for that.

It is powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 5G chipset with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. If this memory is not enough, it can also be expanded using a microSD card slot. On the front, a 6.67-inch AMOLED 90 Hz display ensures that your movies and games look colorful and amazing. The back houses a 64 MP main, 8 MP telephoto, and 12 MP ultrawide sensor that can be flipped over and used as a selfie setup. It is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery and also supports 30 W fast charging.

If you are looking for a smartphone that can take amazing selfie pictures and that offers top notch performance in a premium package, the Asus Zenfone 8 Flip is the best Asus phone you can buy today.

Runner-up: Asus Zenfone 8

The standard Zenfone 8 does not have a motorized flip mechanism. Instead, it has the traditional camera layout in a fixed position on the back and a punch-hole selfie camera on the large 5.9-inch AMOLED 120 Hz display. Most of the specifications are the same as the Zenfone 8 Flip, so I won’t bore you listing them again. The two main differences are in the configuration, as this model starts at 6/128 GB, 8/128 GB and can go up to 16 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage, but unlike the Zenfone 8 Flip, this one is not expandable. The battery is also smaller at 4,000 mAh and supports 30 W fast charging. Asus promises that it can go from 0% to 60% in just 25 minutes or from 100% in 80 minutes.

The Asus Zenfone 8 is one of the best smartphones Asus has to offer in 2021, and it has the specs to prove it.

Best for most: Asus Zenfone 7 Pro

The difference between the Zenfone 7 and the 7 Pro is minimal. Perhaps the biggest difference can be felt in the price, with the Pro costing a little more. The main difference is between certain models – the chipset is a tiny bit faster, and some models have 2GB more memory and twice as much space. Other than that, it’s exactly the same device as the Zenfone 7.

It has a huge 6.67-inch AMOLED 90 Hz display and is powered by last year’s Snapdragon 865 5G chipset with 8 GB of storage. 256 GB of storage space is available, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. The main camera is 64 MP and there is also an 8 MP telephoto and a 12 MP ultrawide sensor. The selfie shooter is the same as the one on the back thanks to the motorized folding mechanism, so your selfies always look stunning and sharp. The battery is 5,000 mAh and supports 30 W fast charging.

If you are looking for a high-end premium smartphone from Asus, the Zenfone 7 Pro offers a nice display, a still very powerful chipset and a long battery life.

Runner-up: Asus Zenfone 7

The Zenfone 7 Pro has a lot of great features, but if you’re looking to save some money, the Zenfone 7 comes to the rescue. It has most of the same features, including the same – albeit slightly underclocked – chipset and has 6GB 128GB and 8GB 256GB storage and storage variants. The memory of this model can also be expanded via an SD card slot. That sums up all the differences on paper. The other major difference is the price, as it is often much cheaper than the “Pro” model.

While the Zenfone 7 has the chipset and performance of last year, it is still a very capable device that supports 5G.

our recommendation

If I was personally asked to recommend the ultimate and best gaming phone to someone today, one of my first tips would be the Asus ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. When money isn’t an issue, it’s the only device that has it all and more in a relatively compact premium package. However, if you’re looking for something a little more sensible and something cheaper, the Asus ROG Phone 5 or Asus ROG Phone 3 are excellent choices depending on how much you’re willing to pay for FPS.

Of course, there are many of us who don’t want to own a game-oriented smartphone. But the Asus Zenfone 8 Flip is the ultimate device for most people who are looking for an elegant premium flagship with the currently available high-end chipset. The slightly cheaper Asus Zenfone 8 offers similar features, performance, and specifications, but has a smaller display and a little less of everything. The Zenfone 7 series is also a great option if you are on a bit less budget as it offers great performance for the money and has great camera and battery life.
