Easy Power designs its first electrical scooter on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform

Dassault Systèmes announced that Simple Energy, an electric vehicle (EV) startup based in Bangalore, has made the 3DEXPERIENCE platform available in the cloud through a value-added partner, EDS Technologies. Simple Energy was part of the SOLIDWORKS for Entrepreneurs program before migrating to SOLIDWORKS applications for the development of the electric scooter through a value-added partner, Best Engineering Aids & Consultancies. Simple Energy regulated the project management for the development and manufacture of their first electric scooter Simple Mark 2 using design and governance applications based on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Worldwide, Dassault Systèmes has the know-how to work with leading EV manufacturers such as NIO, EVUM MOTORS, QEV Technologies, XYT, Canoo and several others.

Simple Energy is research and development focused and working closely with stakeholders to bring new affordable electric scooters to market for students, professionals and in tier 2 and 3 cities in India. The company introduced the 3DEXPERIENCE platform in the cloud to address the current challenges in terms of insights in all disciplines, to improve collaboration and to visualize the 3D design using real-time simulation. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform helped Simple Energy collaborate and optimize the design process according to production and manufacturing requirements, thereby reducing costs. The company designed Simple Mark 2, the exterior of the vehicle, and developed a digital model of the electric two-wheelers that use SOLIDWORKS and CATIA applications, with the goal of starting production in June 2021 and shipping from September 2021.

“At Simple Energy, we strive to provide environmentally friendly two-wheelers in the budget segment for students and IT professionals without compromising on functionality. Hence, every aspect of component design, chassis and battery development, etc. must be done in-house and manufactured in India to manage costs. Our team with the technical expertise needed a platform to integrate a comprehensive and collaborative real-time view for product development, simulation and manufacturing, ”he said Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy. “With Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform for cloud and branded applications such as SOLIDWORKS and CATIA, we were able to remotely and jointly develop a digital model of the entire vehicle with real-time simulation and real-time engagement for suppliers and production teams. Additionally, the community helps us connect with innovative global EV technology companies to understand, adopt, and adapt EV development best practices. “

“All over the world we see that successful startups are integrating mechanical engineering, system technology and electronics and creating EV platforms for the mobility of the future. This is an interesting change in India as well, as more companies emerge in traditional industries that integrate technology and business experience platforms. The future business leaders are today’s startups, and we have a full program for startups to conceptualize, design, engineer, manufacture, manufacture, assemble and even digitize sales and marketing activities, ”he said Deepak NG, Managing Director, India, Dassault Systems. “We want to be a preferred business transformation partner for companies like Simple Energy in areas that determine the customer experience in the mobility of the future.”
