The fourth round of the DARTdrones Public Safety Grant is open to applications! DARTdrones made history as one of the first drone companies to achieve huge hits on the startup TV show Shark Tank. Now their business of providing high quality, professional level training to drone pilots has proven itself time and again a winner. DARTdrones now offers trainers in 28 US cities across the country.
In this round of the DARTdrones Public Safety Grant, the company is donating $ 100,000 of free drone training to public safety departments worldwide. This is a program that directly addresses one of the key needs identified by public safety agencies in a recent DRONERESPONDERS survey: Public safety agencies often lack the means, time, and standard resources to recruit unmanned personnel Train and license vehicles.
From the DARTdrones announcement:
The DARTdrones Public Safety Grant provides free funds for professional training of drones for police, fire departments and public safety who are interested in learning how to use drones effectively. DARTdrones aims to increase the number of lives saved with drones. The best way to achieve this goal is to get more drones into the hands of public security departments across the country. The 2021 DARTdrones Public Safety Grant provides departments with full or partial $ 100,000 funding for drone training such as B. Part 107 Test prep training, basic flight training, real flight planning and execution programs, and private drone training for local public safety.
In the fourth round of the program, US $ 100,000 will be awarded for training – and a drone provided by partner Adorama. The DARTdrones team has already awarded over $ 500,000 in drone training grants to over 237 police and fire departments. “During the fourth round, our team will continue to support departments across the country in receiving the appropriate training to use drones to save more lives,” the announcement said. “DARTdrones is working with other drone software and services companies to further expand the reach and offering of this grant. This year, DARTdrones is partnering with Adorama to give a lucky department a free Mavic Air 2 Fly More Combo from DJI. “
