Bradford firm Multibrands produces ‘extremely dependable’ techtron e-scooter

A BRADFORD-BASED company has created a cutting-edge electric scooter which designers say will revolutionize the industry.

After making its name with the Supacell battery range, Multibrands International have used the technology to create techtron – an e-scooter that drives longer on a single charge.

Multibrands co-owner Rizwana Hussain says that not only does the Bradford-designed transport device travel further than other e-scooters, it has “built-in technology that makes it a winner”.

Says Rizwana: “Techtron is a real futuristic marvel. It offers so much added value. We have designed it so it’s modern, ultra-reliable and durable. It goes and goes and goes.”

He adds: “Unlike other e-scooters, we’ve created an app that makes it easy to monitor and control the easy-to-use features.”

Although electric scooters are only permitted on private land, Rizwana hopes Transport Secretary Grant Shapps will soon pass legislation that may see them on British roads in the near future.

And, he says, with huge increases on fuel prices in the UK, changing the legalization of electric scooters would alleviate much of the financial strain on motorists and make e-scooters a credible and more widely used alternative method of transport.

“That’s where techtron will be the logical choice,” says Rizwana. “Driving cars is very expensive, and electric scooters like techtron that retail from £249 make sense for drives into work and locally. Charge it up and off you go!

“We’ve made it so techtron goes longer, is tougher and is digitally dynamic’.

“It’s our dream that West Yorkshire will become the center of electrical transport excellence in the UK.”
