Boy, 16, hit by two males who stole his scooter

A teenage boy lies in the hospital after being beaten up by two men who got away on his moped scooter.

Merseyside police were called on reports that a 16-year-old boy was assaulted near the intersection of Caldway Drive and Middlemass Hey in Netherley on Friday June 25.

The teenager WAS at a bus stop near the intersection with a friend when he was approached by two men who started talking to them.

The 16-year-old was then attacked and his scooter stolen.

One of the men was driving a Voi scooter and after the attack the two made off with both the engine and the Voi scooter.

The teenager was rushed to hospital for facial injuries treatment.

An investigation is underway and CCTV and testimony are being conducted in the area.
