Aprilia SXR 160 maxi scooter in a walkaround video

Here we have a walkaround video of the upcoming Aprilia SXR 160 that is expected to be released in India in the coming weeks

Aprilia India plans to add new introductions to its range and the SXR 160 will be the brand’s newest product. The new maxi scooter has arrived at the dealers and the pre-reservations are already open. If you want to take a closer and closer look at the scooter before it’s launch in India, keep scrolling!

Here we have a video uploaded by GearFLIQwhich gives us a detailed overview of the scooter. The SXR 160 is a maxi scooter with a wide front fairing that gives it a sporty look. The visor is quite long but mounted low, and the LED headlights look extremely sharp, somewhat similar to those on the Aprilia RSV4 superbike.

The sporty design continues to the rear where we see LED taillights and split passenger grab bars. The wheels are both alloy units, and the suspension system consists of telescopic forks in the front and an adjustable monoshock in the rear. Overall, the SXR 160 looks very proportionate and is perhaps the best looking scooter on the Indian market.

The tiered seat looks quite long and comfortable, and the hallway is extremely accommodating too. The handlebars have been raised slightly to ensure relaxed driver ergonomics. The instrument cluster is a fully digital LCD unit that looks very nice and is easy to read. The Aprilia SXR 160 also has many practical details.

The scooter has a storage compartment integrated into the front panel, in which there is a USB charging port. The under seat storage has a trunk light, although there is no external fuel filler cap. The front wheel has a 220 mm disc brake, while the rear brake is a drum unit and single-channel ABS is offered as standard.

The engine is a 160.03 cc engine that can develop a peak power of 10.9 hp (at 7,100 rpm). The video says the vehicle has been introduced in India, but it hasn’t yet. Customers can currently only pre-book the Aprilia SXR 160, and the scooter is expected to be on sale in a few weeks, at an expected ex-showroom price of Rs. 1.3 lakh.
