Apple releases cheaper AirPods Professional ‘Lite’ with out noise cancellation

It is rumored that Apple is working on improving its truly wireless headphones. We recently reported that the company could launch the 3rd Generation AirPods and 2nd Generation AirPods Pro in 2021. Both should be an upgrade over the current AirPods and AirPods Pro. Now, Apple has reportedly confirmed that it is working on a “Lite” variant of its AirPods Pro. With the introduction of the upcoming TWS headphones, AirPods could get cheaper.

According to TheElec report, Apple is working on AirPods Pro Lite to expand its presence in the wireless headphones market. This upcoming product is expected to be shipped without the support of the company’s noise cancellation feature . Furthermore, the Lite version of AirPods Pro should be started in the first half of next year. The Cupertino-based company is said to have developed a system-in-package (SiP) product that includes Apple’s H1 chip, an AirPod audio driver chip, through a domestic materials partner.

The AirPods Pro ‘Lite’ could be the successor to the current AirPods.

While the existing SiP has a rounded shape, the upcoming Lite variant is expected to have a simple square design. According to the report The product is expected to undergo a quality check this year and start production in 2021. Additionally, the report cites a source close to the matter to further mention that the new hearing aids will be available 20 percent lower than the price of the AirPods Pro that comes with active noise cancellation technology.

It is already rumored that Apple is working on the upgrades to the existing AirPods range. The new report repeats previous rumors that despite a new design, upcoming AirPods won’t have high-end AirPods Pro features like noise cancellation.
