Apple may launch an Apple Watch SE replace with a rugged variant subsequent 12 months

The Apple Watch SE first launched on September 15, 2020 as a more affordable option for Apple users who don’t want to spend as much on the latest version of the higher quality Apple Watch. Or as a great alternative for anyone who wants to keep an eye on their children’s activities and location thanks to the family setup function. This is still a great alternative for those looking to buy a new Apple Watch in 2021, but if the latest information turns out to be correct, wait until 2022 to buy a new version of the Watch SE.

According to recent information from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will update its Apple Watch SE range for 2022, which will include a new Watch SE as well as a device with what appears to be a rugged design that could be aimed at athletes.

The current version of the Apple Watch SE looks identical to the Apple Watch Series 6, at least superficially, as it lacks several functions, including an always-on display, EKG functionality and a blood oxygen sensor.

The possibility of getting a new Apple Watch SE model is pretty exciting as Apple isn’t known for updating its SE devices as often as it does with its regular models. Take the iPhone SE, for example. The iPhone SE first launched in 2016, and we had to wait four years to get an iPhone SE Gen 2. Even so, it seems that we may have to wait less for a new iPhone SE Gen 3, as rumors suggest it could arrive in the first half of 2022.

Anyway, rumors suggest that this new version of the Apple Watch SE might have some design changes to make it look more like the high-end models. It seems that Apple is pushing the design changes a little further as it may offer us a new variant with a rugged design that can also have a case that makes the new Watch SE more resistant to extreme conditions. Now all we have to do is remind you to use this with caution as the Watch Series 7 rumors were false and Cupertino may have other plans too. On the other hand, we may have to wait a little longer to get a new update to the Apple Watch SE.
